CardiaMetrics is proud to announce that it has been named a 2026 laureate of the i-Lab Innovation Competition, one of France’s leading programs supporting the creation and development of innovative technology companies.

The announcement was made during the 2026 State Innovation Competitions ceremony held in Paris on September 16. This year, 69 i-Lab projects were selected from 569 applications, including 10 Grands Prix. The competition represents €25 million in total support for this year’s laureates. Supported by France 2030 and operated by Bpifrance on behalf of the French State, i-Lab supports research and development projects aimed at bringing innovative technological products, processes and services closer to market. Addressing a Major Challenge in Heart Failure Care

Heart failure is a chronic condition characterized by periods of relative stability interrupted by episodes of decompensation. These episodes can lead to hospitalization and contribute to progressive deterioration in patients’ health and quality of life.

One of the major challenges in heart failure care is therefore not only responding to decompensation once symptoms become apparent, but identifying physiological changes early enough to give care teams more time to act.

Today, remote monitoring often relies on indicators such as symptoms, weight measurements and patient questionnaires. While valuable, these indicators can appear relatively late in the deterioration process and depend on regular patient participation.

CardiaMetrics is developing a different approach: providing healthcare professionals with earlier and clinically relevant physiological information to help maintain patients in a stable condition over time.

Combining Medical Devices, Physiological Signals and Artificial Intelligence

The CardiaMetrics approach is built around three complementary areas of innovation.

The first is a miniaturized and autonomous subcutaneous sensor designed to collect physiological signals automatically over time, without requiring daily measurements from the patient.

The second is MERCURE, our proprietary approach combining physiological signals and machine learning to estimate hemodynamic information associated with cardiac filling pressures.

Preliminary work presented by CardiaMetrics at Technology and Heart Failure Therapeutics 2026 in Boston demonstrated the feasibility of this approach. These early findings were encouraging and now require validation in larger prospective cohorts.

The third is an innovation in the way these data can be integrated into the care pathway. The objective is not simply to generate additional measurements, but to provide clinically meaningful information that can support healthcare professionals in assessing patient status over time and making therapeutic decisions.

Together, these innovations reflect our vision of remote monitoring: reliable physiological information, collected with minimal burden for the patient and translated into actionable insights for care teams.

Supporting the Next Stage of Clinical Development

The i-Lab distinction will help CardiaMetrics accelerate the next stage of its scientific and clinical development.

Following our initial proof-of-concept work, the program will support further validation of our technology, including evaluation of the subcutaneous device, continued development of our physiological models, and work toward integrating these measurements into real-world clinical practice.

This is an essential step. In remote monitoring, generating a physiological measurement is only one part of the challenge. That information must also be reliable, interpretable and useful in clinical practice.

At CardiaMetrics, our ambition goes beyond detecting an impending hospitalization.

A Recognition of a Collective Effort

Being selected as an i-Lab laureate represents an important milestone for CardiaMetrics and recognition of the work carried out by our entire team.

Since its creation, i-Lab has become a recognized program within the French deeptech ecosystem, supporting innovative companies born from research and helping them advance their technological development. Nearly 5,000 laureates have been recognized through the State Innovation Competitions since 1999.
