Founded in 2023, CardiaMetrics is based in Grenoble, a true hub of research and innovation, and in Caen, the birthplace of cardiac telemonitoring in France. CardiaMetrics benefits from the dynamism of these two complementary ecosystems. Together, the four co-founders aim to address the challenges of scaling telemonitoring for chronic diseases. They are determined to place “health as a service” at the heart of their project, focusing on providing both practical and impactful innovations for patients and caregivers.
The company is also build on the material and immaterial assets developed during Dr. Cindy Michel’s Ph.D while working at SentinHealth. These assets have allowed the company to directly enter the clinical stage and plan the first trials for the beginning of 2025.

CEO & co-founder
Rowing brought me to Grenoble, where I completed my studies with a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, focusing on knowledge representation. Like a true Grenoblois, R&D and IT were my main fields of interest for 15 years before embracing health through prevention with EIT Health.
I met Mathieu while managing the Grenoble branch of the service company Viseo, and later I discovered Cindy and the Medtech startup world as CTO & COO at SentinHealth. All together, with Rémi, we decided to found CardiaMetrics, each of us contributing our perspective to help address the challenges of aging and dependency.

Cindy Michel
CSO & co-founder
Passionate about physiology, I first studied biology before specializing in medical device engineering. My growing interest in cardiology led me to Brisbane, where I became aware of the magnitude of the challenges related to heart failure.
After my studies, I had the opportunity to join a start-up in its early stages, where I conducted a thesis on an innovative implantable medical device. I not only contributed to research but also to product development and team management, thus blending science and entrepreneurship.
Committed to providing patients and healthcare systems with innovative solutions for aging well at home and easing the mental burden of managing chronic conditions, I co-founded CardiaMetrics.
Today, as the scientific director, I passionately continue the mission of transforming heart failure management by offering technological alternatives to as many people as possible.

Rémi Sabatier
CMO & co-founder
Interventional cardiologist at CHU de Caen Normandie, specialized since 2005 in medical telemonitoring and an active contributor to its integration into mainstream healthcare in France. I am, in search of solutions providing reliable data to remotely manage my patients.
I saw in CardiaMetrics a great opportunity to bring my expertise and network to an exciting project and to directly contribute to the emergence of a relevant and effective solution.

Mathieu Ruhlmann
CTO & co-founder
With 20 years of experience in software development, where I had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and scopes, tackle complex data management issues, and closely follow major technological advances such as artificial intelligence, I was eager to join the founding team of CardiaMetrics to take on a new challenge that is not only technological and human, but also meaningful for our society.
The proximity of my family environment to the health field made me aware of the many challenges our healthcare system faces today. I am convinced that the project we are pursuing will be beneficial for patients while easing the pressure on the healthcare system, which is why I will put all my energy into developing our product so that it can reach the market.

Fanny Israël
Qara director
With my TIS engineering degree (Information Technology for Health from Polytech Grenoble) in hand, I moved to Rochester, Minnesota, to join a multidisciplinary team working on the design of a pulse oximeter for use in catheterization laboratories. Involved in the various phases of the design process, I discovered the regulatory framework and methodologies that structure the development of medical devices. That’s when I fell in love with the quality profession!
Strongly attached to Grenoble, I decided to return and settle there. Initially, I focused on exploring the quality and organizational aspects of companies — from implementing quality management systems to achieving ISO 13485 certification. As organizations are built around the product, I naturally gravitated back to closely following the design and development processes of medical software and electro-medical devices.
With these experiences behind me — and being adventurous, determined, and methodical — joining the CardiaMetrics team as Quality and Regulatory Affairs Manager was an obvious next step. I’m thrilled to contribute to bringing a device to market for heart failure patients, especially one that addresses both current and future healthcare challenges. This adventure promises to be both enriching and stimulating, with a complex product that includes an implantable component and an AI-based system!

Cécilia Kroiss
COO
With extensive experience in the medical device industry, I specialize in managing the development of electro-medical, implantable, and software devices.
Graduated in Technology and Innovation Management from Grenoble École de Management and in biomechanics engineering from ISIFC, I have taken on leadership roles in medical companies from startups to large international groups.
I am thrilled and ambitious to join CardiaMetrics to succeed in bringing technology to serve the health of patients living with heart failure.
